About
I’m Azul Ballestero, a fashion and textile designer exploring clothing through deconstruction and reconstruction.
I work with existing garments as raw material — taking them apart, fragmenting, and reassembling them into new forms. Through this process, each piece becomes a transformation of what once existed, carrying traces of its previous life while evolving into something entirely new.
My work sits between fashion and object, where upcycling becomes both method and language. It is not only about sustainability, but about rethinking value, material, and permanence.
Born in Argentina and shaped by over a decade in design, my approach was deeply influenced by my time in Sweden and its culture of sustainability.
Now based in Berlin, I continue to investigate how garments can be dismantled and rebuilt to tell new stories.
